Liberated: Enhanced Edition is out now on Nintendo Switch. This is of course a huge deal for all of us together at Walkabout, Atomic Wolf, and L.inc – it is the final and complete version of a project we’ve poured years of our love into!
Our hope is that it’s also more than that.
With Liberated, we set out to create something that matters: a new kind of graphic novel, the coolest bits of gaming and comics combined, an homage to the greatest comic artists in history, a meaningful story about an all-too-real dystopia.
Now, full English Voice Overs breathe new life and force into this character-driven story. Liberated is a tale inspired by our world — human beings drawn to extremes then torn apart by a broken system. In the Enhanced Edition on Switch, a cast of brilliant voice actors comes together to elevate this deeply relevant story. Bonus story chapters expand the world of Liberated through two distinct short stories. You’ll peek behind the curtains of an oppressive system in a story-driven chapter about ordinary lives, the mindless daily grind, and crushing violence against personal freedom. Then, witness the action-driven aftermath of the game’s finale. Heroes fall, the lines between good and evil blur evermore, in a neverending conflict for “the greater good”.
All technical improvements to date are also present and accounted for in Liberated: Enhanced Edition – a fresh start with updates worth of performance improvements, bug fixes, and a handful of delicate tweaks based on our players’ feedback.
