Inspired by European History, Squad-based Strategic Action Game Puts Players into the Thick of Combat Between Four Nations in Both Single Player Tactical Campaigns and Multiplayer Battles
1C Company, a global PC and console games publisher, today announced it has launched the award-winning RTS strategy game, Ancestors Legacy, for PC via Steam. In the squad-based real time strategy game inspired by medieval European history, players can join Vikings, Saxons and other nations in an extensive series of tactical campaigns or challenge their friends in multiplayer battles. The game is available for PC in both standard and Collector’s Edition versions starting today with a 10% launch discount. Ancestors Legacy will also ship on Xbox One and Xbox One X in early 2019.
“Ancestors Legacy is all about having the action-oriented game set within the medieval environment, as close to reality as possible,” said Tomasz Gop, Producer at Destructive Creations. “All four nations are based on history, but also we managed to make them actually feel unique. The final product gives to players a competitive multiplayer side of the game, joined with what I call Role-Playing Strategy (RPS), story-driven single-player campaigns that can be played at a more relaxed pace.”
In Ancestors Legacy, players take command of their armies as they storm through medieval Europe in an extensive series of tactical campaigns inspired by actual historical events. Choosing one of the four available nations—Viking, Anglo-Saxon, German or Slav—players can conquer, raid and pillage enemy camps and towns. But to truly dominate players must be strategic, taking advantage of the full range of tactical options, using the environment to their benefit and properly managing their temporary bases and settlements.
The game combines resource management and base building with large-scale, squad-based battles across vast battlefields, all rendered in rich detail thanks to Unreal Engine 4 technology. Players will experience medieval bloodshed like never before via the cinematic action camera that puts them right in the middle of the battle at the press of a button.

The game is available for $44.99 for the standard edition, discounted 10% to $40.49 for the first week of launch.
