A Quick Look at FFXV by L33t City Gaming

While the game is beautiful graphically, what really makes it shine are the characters and the world in which they exist. A world teeming with monsters both new and old. The NPC’s are engaging and the character development is well paced. Immediately we learn that Gladiolus is the muscle of the group, charged with keeping Prince Noctis battle ready. Prompto is as nervous as he is loyal, but is most himself when taking pictures with his friends. Ignis is intelligent and enjoys cooking his friend’s favorite dishes. Even the young prince has his hobby, which I enjoyed at length by way of a fishing mini-game.

Final Fantasy XV makes itself accessible to new fans and is full of nostalgia for old fans of the series. The open world setting keeps the player from feeling restricted, but there is a story path to speed up progression. Magic spells can be created through the combination of elements and items, and are powerful. During my time with it I often marveled at the scorched earth after casting a strong fire spell, or a combination ice & lightning spell. Combat feels intuitive and, while easy to get into, will take time to master. After 12 hours with the game I am hungry for more.

Final Fantasy XV has a world-wide release date of November 29th, 2016!

  2. I will be streaming the game on my Twitch channel if you are interested in that come chill! In the mean time if you have a PS4 you can download the judgment disc for free with a Japanese PSN account (also free). There was also the Platinum demo if you haven’t tried that already. I’m glad you liked this, and you can expect alot more in the near future!
