Apex Legends: Arsenal, the latest major update to the globally renowned shooter, is set to launch on May 9. In anticipation of the release, EA and Respawn have dropped a brand-new gameplay trailer that showcases the update’s exciting new features and improvements.
One of the most significant additions to Arsenal is the new Legend, Ballistic. This veteran fighter has decades of experience and has come out of retirement to take on the best in the Apex Games. Ballistic’s arsenal is fully loaded, and he’s ready to teach his foes a lesson they won’t soon forget.
In addition to the new Legend, Arsenal also brings significant improvements to the World’s Edge map. The lava levels have risen and cooled, and construction crews have implemented considerable repairs. The Climatizers have changed the landscape, creating new snowbanks, reducing volcanic smoke, and improving visibility.
Players can also explore the history of the Apex Games in the new Apex Games Museum located in Fragment East. Here, they can learn about the origins of the competition and discover the legends that have risen to the top.
Arsenal also introduces a new Weapon Mastery system that lets players flex their proficiency with every weapon in the game. By earning weapon XP and completing difficult challenges across all modes, players can unlock in-weapon trials that offer exclusive rewards like weapon-specific badges, trackers, a Legendary Banner Frame, and a Legendary Weapon Pack. Master every weapon in the game to unlock special Weapon Master rewards.
The Firing Range has also received a major update in Arsenal, offering players more ways to practice and perfect their skills. In addition to the Core mode, players can take on Duel Pit, Training Grounds, and Agility Course to perfect their close quarters combat and navigation skills. Customized dummies can now run, strafe, and even fight back with various difficulty settings, allowing players to hone their skills in a more realistic environment.
Finally, Arsenal also brings a host of new high-caliber Battle Pass rewards, including weapon skins, character skins, emotes, and more.
