Get ready to soak up the sun in Apex Legends with the upcoming Sun Squad Collection Event, brought to you by EA and Respawn! Starting on March 28th and running through April 11th, the event will feature a limited-time game mode, exclusive cosmetics, and more.
In the new limited-time game mode called “Heatwave,” players will need to watch out for the blazing sun as they battle it out in the arena. Heatwaves will randomly strike, causing damage to anyone caught out in the open. To avoid getting burned, players will need to seek shelter inside or stay under heat shields until the heatwave passes. Alternatively, they can try sliding or wearing sunglasses to minimize the sun’s harmful effects.
To celebrate the sunny season, the event will feature 24 limited-time cosmetics for Ash, Mirage, Fuse, and other Legends. Players can earn these items by progressing through the event’s rewards track, which offers a variety of challenges and objectives to complete. From Hawaiian shirts and scuba gear to beachy weapon skins, the collection has something for everyone to enjoy.
Finally, the event will offer a special reward for dedicated players who unlock all 24 cosmetics before the event ends. Ash’s “Strongest Link” Heirloom, a powerful and unique melee weapon, will be automatically added to their collection. So grab your tank tops and flip-flops and get ready to join the Sun Squad in Apex Legends!
