Survival Quiz City, the multiplayer survival quiz action game from developer BANDAI NAMCO Studios and publisher Phoenixx, invites contestants to answer questions correctly or suffer the consequences during the closed beta session during Tokyo Game Show from Wednesday, September 29th to Saturday, October 2nd on Steam. The closed beta test will premiere a new custom match feature.

Enter a battle of wits where answering a multiple-choice question correctly gives winners weapons to blast the losers trying to complete a trap-filled obstacle course. Spend hard-earned cash at the shopping arcade between each round and buy cosmetic upgrades or skill-enhancing items for a boost.

Potential contestants can join matches with custom rules with up to 30 players; servers will open 5 pm to 8 pm PDT on Wednesday, September 29th, with Thursday’s session running from 9 am to 12 pm PDT, Friday’s session taking place 5 pm to 8 pm PDT, and Saturday wrapping up 9 am to 12 pm PDT.

Contestants can create their own rule sets in the Tokyo Game Show betas, choosing to play Survival modes where competitors try to make it through quizzes and obstacle courses to advance, or Bounty Hunter matches where nobody is eliminated, but the wealthiest contender after the end of all the rounds takes home the crown.

Making it to the end of the dangerous arena isn’t the only goal for the losers of the round. To keep things competitive, losers collect coins throughout the course. Winners can also earn currency by getting shots off on losers navigating the obstacle course. Coins can be spent between each match on cosmetic items like polka-dot skins and watches or enhancing skills like speed and stamina.
