Battle Shapers: Experience a Classic Twist in a Fast-Paced Roguelite FPS from Metric Empire

Metric Empire Announces Fast-Paced Roguelite FPS “Battle Shapers” for Early Access on Windows PCs in 2023.

Metric Empire, a new game studio founded by former Ubisoft directors Nicholas Routhier and Pier-Luc Papineau, has revealed its debut title, “Battle Shapers,” a fast-paced roguelite first-person shooter set in the corrupt and robot-infested city of New Elysium. Battle Shapers will launch in Early Access for Windows PCs in 2023.

In the game, players take on the role of Ada, a spirited android reactivated for a final mission to take back the future of New Elysium from the cunning and sometimes obnoxious Overlords and their swarms of corrupt robots. Players will use an arsenal of futuristic weapons, abilities, and game-changing powers to take down these ruthless Overlords, who will adapt and evolve to changing challenges, putting players’ skills to the ultimate test.

In addition to combat, players can unlock new weapons, abilities, and talents to permanently increase their survivability and combat potential with every run. They can also acquire fallen Overlords’ powers, which change not just their abilities, but their appearance and gameplay. However, with every defeated Overlord, Ada’s path becomes more difficult.

Battle Shapers was recently showcased during the Future Game Show event and promises a fresh take on the FPS genre with its roguelite elements and futuristic setting.
