Disc golf fans and sports enthusiasts alike have plenty of reasons to be excited. Disc Ninja arrives on August 5th, 2021 and will serve as a perfect occasion to get familiarized with a sport of ever-growing popularity. Every Oculus Quest owner can now hone their disc golf skills, taking a tour across 15 virtual disc golf courses in a fantastical version of feudal Japan, a unique place you won’t find them anywhere else.

Apart from its distinctive setting, what sets Disc Ninja apart from other disc golf games is its immensely strong emphasis on disc-throwing physics. The developers put a lot of effort into balancing it in a way that seems natural to both seasoned disc golf players and newcomers. The latter group can also take advantage of a special assisted throwing mode that should come in handy in their very first attempts.

Disc golf courses in Disc Ninja are set across 15 picturesque maps that stylistically take players back in time to a magical version of feudal Japan. Gamers will traverse dark bamboo forests, breathtaking temples, and cities showcasing their captivating architecture from the days of yore. That’s not all, though. Those maps are steeped in numerous traps and hazards, as well as alternative routes opening whole new possibilities before players. Finding them can prove to be a tricky and challenging task, however.

During the course of the play, players will discover and unlock cosmetic items, such as flashy new outfits or dazzling skins for their discs. It allows for customization of their unique avatars, and showcasing them in a competitive multiplayer mode, where up to 4 contestants can compete with each other, battling for the best score.

The developers from Immersion Games have already committed themselves to expand the game post-launch. The first update is already planned and should arrive shortly after the release. It will feature a new “race” game mode that will change the winning criteria. The least amount of throws won’t be a deciding factor anymore, the winner will be determined by their course completion time. A Tournament mode will be added among the new features, with those in mind, who want to organize Disc Ninja mini-tournaments.
