BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and Ticketing Dates Revealed

Esports entertainment company BLAST has today revealed details for the upcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major, which was announced to the world last September by President Emmanuel Macron.

In an exclusive launch event from the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, BLAST unveiled the roadmap for this year’s CS:GO Major, including the in-arena experience to be cast in English, the RMRs to be hosted within each region for the first time since 2019 and wider plans to bring fans closer to the first ever French Major.

While all eyes will be on Paris and the Accor Arena come May, this year’s BLAST.tv Major will have a truly global feel to it with all three RMRs set to be hosted regionally for the first time in three years with the help of experienced local partners in North America, Asia, and Europe. Dates, format, and details for these events will be shared on Tuesday, 17th January.

RMR locations and production partners:

  • Americas RMR – Monterrey, Mexico (Liga Ace)
  • Asia RMR – Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (MESA)
  • European RMR – Copenhagen, Denmark (BLAST)

The Challengers (May 8th-11th) and Legends (13th-16th May) stages will be hosted in LAN setting in Paris, while The Champions Stage (May 18th-21st) and the defining stage of the 2023 Major will be hosted in the Accor Arena. Fans can expect an unforgettable spectacle and to get closer to the action than ever before, with BLAST bridging the in-arena experience for fans at home via a number of leading integrations and show elements.

BLAST is renowned for its fan-first production techniques – whether sitting in the arena, watching along on the global broadcast, or following the action via BLAST.tv platform. Due to the high demand from international fans to attend the event, the in-arena experience will cater to all members of the global and local esports audiences and be commented on in English and the show will be primarily in English with entertainment elements in French for those in the arena

BLAST.tv will be the home of the 2023 Paris Major, where fans can get closer to the action than ever before. Innovative and fan-first viewing features will allow fans to tailor their viewing experience, relive key and exciting moments and impact the action unfolding before their eyes. The event will be a unified experience for those at home and in the arena, championed by new features such as allowing fans in the arena and online to vote to impact a number of show elements, which will allow the fans to be a part of defining the action, wherever they are, whenever they want.

Over the last few years, France has become a hotbed for producing some of esports and Counter-Strike’s leading talents. Deep-rooted in the CS:GO scene, France has developed some of the scene’s most loved teams and players. The Paris Major will be the first chance for French players to compete on home soil in the pinnacle of competitive esports and Counter-Strike.

2023 will mark 10 years of Counter-Strike Majors and the BLAST.tv Paris Major will look to celebrate this momentous occasion by highlighting and looking back at some of the most iconic moments from the pinnacle of esports and Counter-Strike.
