Chinese martial arts MMORPG Justice Online Eyes Western Release

Justice may be served around the world as popular Chinese martial arts MMORPG looks to fight its way into international audiences.

With Chinese New Year just around the corner, leading Chinese game publisher NetEase is offering bountiful benefits to its faithful Justice Online players who have stayed loyal to the leading martial arts PC MMO. A Western release is also being eyed up for Q4 2022.

Justice Online is an MMORPG based on the famous martial arts novel Four Famous Arrets – Justice Online. The captivating open-world looks to create a living and breathing environment for players to explore. Justice Online is the first game to really explore traditional martial arts and Jianghu (the community of martial arts) in the MMORPG genre. Justice Online offers players a sophisticated world to explore, endless customization to showcase, and a story of love, passion, and martial arts to lose yourself in.

Justice Online recently received a substantial update, taking the total amount of explorable regions in the game to 9. This update brought eye-catching landscapes like the Zhuyin Mountain that cuts the sky with its flowing fire and flaming wind, the Snowcell Mountain the brings a crisp frozen edge to the dangerous lands, and Quicksand City which is plagued with blistering sandstorms and desert areas you want to stay well away from.

With the Justice Online map now expanding over 2,400-square -kilometers it’s fair to say there is a lot to see and even more to do. Whether you choose to dig for gold, rescue a mountain from doom or even look to trade from town to town, one thing is certain, you’re going to need a mount to explore the seamless lands.

Mounts are already a huge part of the Justice Online experience, with the ability to tame almost any creature in the game into a mount the options are plentiful. However, these options are growing even wider from January 20th when the next major update for Justice Online is released. That’s right, you’ll be able to fight against, tame, and even ride a giant spider across snow-capped mountains, around lava pits, and through elegant rain forests.

The major content update isn’t the only announcement NetEase has for Justice Online. As of the 20th of January, the game will be playable on almost any device through cloud-based gaming via a web client. This cloud-based service does open Justice Online up to international players, however, the game currently doesn’t feature localization outside of China so current playing experiences are dependent on a player’s understanding of the Chinese language.

Over the course of 2022 NetEase have several huge updates planned for Justice Online, including new locations to expand the seamless map even further, new questions for players to continue their adventure with and new mounts fight and tame. Their largest update in 2022 may be the multi-region localization and international release of Justice Online, which would open up the martial arts experience to millions of MMORPG fans.
