Core just revealed that its metaverse platform is coming to iOS this summer and launched a new feature called Party Portals, a collection of ready-made games that allow any Core user to host events, game nights, and tournaments for their friends in the metaverse.

Manticore Games is celebrating the one-year anniversary of Core – a premier metaverse platform featuring live events, interactive entertainment, and more than 50,000 games and worlds– by announcing plans to launch on iOS this summer and releasing Party Portals, a collection of ready-made games that allow any Core user to host events, game nights and tournaments for their friends.

In its first year, the Core Metaverse has welcomed more than 3 million users, including 30,000 creators who have launched more than 50,000 playable games, worlds, and events. Core has become a social hub for new types of interactive experiences in the metaverse, including live events and concerts such as deadmau5’s Oberhasli and Geoff Keighley’s Axial Tilt, which featured the first live broadcast of The Game Awards in the metaverse.

When Core launches on iOS, millions of new users will gain access to the Core Metaverse from their mobile devices where they can socialize with friends, play games, host events, and more. This includes access to Core’s 50,000 playable games and worlds optimized for mobile with cross-play between PC, iOS, and Mac. Starting today, Core is releasing a suite of iOS design and optimization tools, as well as a series of courses to help creators adapt and optimize their games for mobile.

In honor of its first anniversary, Core today launched Party Portals, a new social play experience in the Core Metaverse. Available immediately for players through Core Plaza and rolling out to creators soon, Party Portals give everyone the ability to host events, game nights, and tournaments with friends centered around several minigames. The games include Game Show Trivia, Rock Paper Scissors, Texas Hold’em, Bowling, and Core original Hop ‘Til You Drop.

Core is celebrating its one-year anniversary by hosting a community event today starting with a live Q&A streaming on Twitch and in Core Plaza at 10:00 AM PDT with co-founders, Frederic Descamps and Jordan Maynard, followed by an afterparty in Core Plaza at 11:00 AM PDT for a live music performance by DJ deadlyfishes, plus a showcase of Party Portals.
