The uniquely challenging platformer Cranked Up is coming to Nintendo Switch at the end of 2020. The French indie developer BBlack Studio revealed this today, while also lifting the veil on three new cooperative modes for the zany donut-themed game, currently on Steam Early Access.
Not for the fainthearted, fans of the Nintendo’s console will get to control their rocket-strapped donuts in the upcoming Cranked Up through increasingly more difficult levels. Steering the sugar-coated pastries is easier said than done, as players are tasked to save Mr. Mug – their favorite cup of coffee – from an evil Hawaiian pizza.
Make (or lose) friends with the three new cooperative modes for Cranked Up, currently being worked on for a release later this year. Gamers can solve puzzles with the help of a buddy in the new 2 player mode, or test the bonds of their friendship – literally – in the two tethered coop formats for 2-4 players. It’s as crazy as it looks!
There is more! Cranked Up features a single-player Adventure campaign, as well as 4-player Versus mode, Time Trial and the Floor is Lava. Gamers can expect hours of rocket-boosted fun as they traverse a variety of wacky environments and challenges. The Steam Early Access version includes 50 levels, hidden collectibles, secret levels, and unlockable exclusive characters.

- Play with up to four friends cooperatively in an offbeat universe, filled with sugared power-ups, evil pizza slices, and other bizarro elements. It’s not supposed to make any sense!
- Race each other in Versus mode, go head-to-head and break a pal’s record in Time Trial or avoid the ground in The Floor is Lava. See who gets to the top of the leaderboard!
- Unlock all 10 glazed donut characters and customize your own gang of sweetened ring-shaped fried dough. Yummy!
