Who would have thought after so many delays Cyberpunk 2077 would be so bad from a technical standpoint? It is important to understand the issue here from both sides. The PS4 PRO was released on November 10th, 2016, and the PS4 on November 15th, 2013. Not only have we had 7 years of hardware upgrades but during this time we have had a generational shift in graphics technology. Cyberpunk 2077 was designed right on the cusp of this new era of course there are going to be problems playing on 7 years old technology. How can they make a game of the year quality product in 2020 if they are building to cater to 2013 technology? Sorry people it’s not going to happen. It is time to invest in a nice gaming Pc or hold out for a PS5. With that being said the massive amount of bug issues piling up is just flat-out embarrassing.
It looks like Cd Projekt Red has and Sony has mutually decided to temporarily suspend the digital distribution of Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation store. This confirmed by a tweet sent from the official CD Projekt Red and Ask PlayStation Twitter accounts.

According to these messages’ players will also be able to get a full refund if they are dissatisfied with their experience. Once again, it is a next-gen game that should be played on next-gen consoles of course the graphic is going to be bad on last-gen. RTX>GTX. We have heard mixed reviews about bugs in the game that some experience and some do not. We have also heard lots of external reports the game is “Riddled with bugs” but in this day and age of gaming, it’s almost to be expected on a day one release. But in this case, I think what is most surprising and disappointing at the same time is CD Projekt Red delayed this game so many times we have lost count and yet still did not deliver a finished product. We cannot give them a pass on this it’s an outright failure. I can forgive the bad game experience on old consoles, but the massive number of bugs are unacceptable.
So now what? Well in a statement made on December 13th Cd Projekt Red has promised to roll out patches to address issues the community has identified. Will it be enough? What a disaster.
