Daybreak Games’ H1Z1 Invitational Returns This Weekend to TwitchCon

Daybreak Games’ H1Z1 Invitational is back! The most watched event at TwitchCon since its debut in 2015 has returned bigger than ever with an overall prize pool of $500,000 and three action-packed tournaments. In anticipation of one of competitive gaming’s biggest showdowns, Daybreak has updated H1Z1’s look, simplifying both the in-game menus and the name. WHAT: The H1Z1 Invitational, TwitchCon’s premier esports event, features a combined $500,000 prize pool split across three tournaments of 75 competitors apiece:

  • The All-Stars tournament ($200,000 prize pool): Three rounds featuring some of the most electrifying streamers, content creators and personalities from around the globe, including summit1gMrGrimmmzDr DisRespectNadeshotFemStephSeaNanners and many more!
  • The Legends tournament ($250,000 prize pool): Three rounds drawing from some of the world’s best H1Z1 players, including defending champs inboxes and radek, as well as relentless rivals like LyndonFPSFlamehopper, and Stormen.
  • Challengers Invitational ($50,000 prize pool): A series of seven first-come, first-serve qualifying matches build up to a riveting finale with the top ten players from each game, along with the winners from the Road to TwitchCon contests at gamescomPAX West and Tokyo Game Show and the #ChallengeAccepted contest.

WHEN:

  • Friday, Oct. 20 – Challenger Qualifiers at 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 21 — All-Stars at 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 22 — Legends at 11:30 a.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 22 — Challenger Finals at 3:00 p.m.
