Dead by Daylight Halloween Season Begins with First Stand-Alone Original Survivor

Dead by Daylight Kicks Off the Halloween Season with First Stand-Alone Original Survivor.

To kick off Halloween celebrations in a bold way, Dead by Daylight is releasing the new DLC, Hour of the Witch, featuring Mikaela Reid, the first-ever stand-alone original survivor. Following the release of prominent Killer Pinhead who recently entered the Fog on his own, the new female character will also arrive in the Entity’s Realm solo – a perfect treat for Survivor-centric players. Hour of the Witch will be officially released in October, but Steam players can already get familiar with Mikaela through the Public Test Build starting today.

“The Halloween season is a very exciting moment for our fans and us so, following the arrival of a bold Killer like Pinhead, we wanted to seize the occasion and treat our Survivor Mains to a new addition to their roster”, shared Dave Richard, Creative Director, Dead by Daylight. “Mikaela Reid is a very intriguing character with a lot of depth. We feel like she will resonate a lot with our fanbase especially since she has, just like them, a marked interest in the horror universe.”

A Tale Born in the Fog

A horror storyteller herself, the latest addition to the Survivor ranks will certainly be a favorite among Halloween lovers. Haunted by the passing of her father, Mikaela Reid found comfort in the unlikeliest of sources: horror stories. The more she read, the more she also wrote, sharpening her own tales of horror while developing a keen interest in witchcraft.

After receiving an invitation to read her work at the renowned Endless Halloween Festival, Mikaela found herself plagued by a series of disturbing events. Recurring nightmares. Strange visions. The disappearance of a friend. When she finally took to the stage on All Hallow’s Eve to tell her tale, a thick black Fog engulfed her, spiriting her away, to the audience’s amazement. Mikaela Reid was never seen again.

Hour of the Witch will be available in October via Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Steam, Windows Store, Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X|S.
