Digerati launches demos for three NEW games as part of the Steam Game Festival

As the Summer Edition of the Steam Game Festival gets underway, indie publisher Digerati is delighted to announce that demos for three of its new, upcoming titles are available to play for the duration of the event, which ends next Monday, 22 June, at 10AM PDT.

The Digerati games included in the festival are: the recently revealed nihilistic action-platformer Nongunz: Doppelganger EditionOverloop – a cloning-based puzzle-platformer set in an oddball, high-tech dystopia; and The Magister, which is a previously unannounced murder-mystery RPG card-battler and the new game from Monster Slayers creator, Nerdook.

About the games

Nongunz

NONGUNZ: DOPPELGANGER EDITION
Nongunz is a nihilistic action-platformer roguelike. Obscure in both gameplay and theme, Nongunz is a riddle that demands sacrifice.

The demo lets you play until you defeat the first boss, which adds up to a LOT of game to sink your teeth into! It’s a great introduction to the game’s gothic, nihilistic world for first-time players, and also a perfect opportunity to start deciphering the riddle that is Nongunz itself. And for anyone who has dabbled in Nongunz before, the demo lets you sample the all-new Arena mode, and local co-op.

Overloop

OVERLOOP
A light-hearted puzzle-platformer set in an oddball dystopia. Armed with a Quantic Matter Reproduction Device (aka ‘QMRD’ aka ‘a cloning gun’), create and sacrifice clones of yourself in order to survive as you rise up against the authoritarian rule of nefarious tech megacorp, Infinity Inc.

The demo features the game’s opening level, giving players the chance to make clones of themselves using their QMRD, and subsequently sacrifice those clones in order to solve puzzles. Players can also contemplate the ethical and humanitarian ramifications of unregulated scientific advancements. There are also some adorable pandas to look at.

The Magister

THE MAGISTER
Previously unannounced and making its WORLD EXCLUSIVE publicly playable debut, The Magister is a murder-mystery RPG card-battler and the long-awaited next game from Monster Slayers creator, Nerdook.

The demo offers the chance to play through the first two days of the murder investigation. In that time, players will be able to sample the card-based battling and tactical diplomacy encounters; experiment with various Magister types and skills to see how different combinations define the experience; and also get acquainted with the places and people of Silverhurst, the remote rural village where the game is set.
