The latest update for Espire 2, a stealth action game, has been released by VR developer Digital Lode and publisher Tripwire Presents. The update, now available for download, introduces the Espire Ops, which includes 13 new missions for fans to play. Players can choose their favorite frame and compete on global leaderboards across three new game modes. In addition, the narrative is provided through the mission descriptions, which follow three operations that take place during and after the Espire 1 and Espire 2 timelines.
The “Sneaking Ops” are set up for players who enjoy perfecting stealth. These four increasingly difficult missions require players to complete objectives without raising any alarms. “Take Down Ops” require players to silently pacify all guards in the area in five ops. The “Elimination Ops” consists of four ops and allow players to go loud, clearing the area no matter the cost.
The update also includes a number of visual improvements across the game, from new artwork for pickups and collectibles to a UI refresh for the main menu. Fixes to issues raised by players have also been implemented, including a “restart from checkpoint” feature and a fix for Android audio permissions continually appearing during gameplay.
