Belgian games publisher Cronos Interactive and developer Not A Company have released an update for Hoverloop on Steam’s Early Access today. The multiplayer drone combat game is now loaded with tons of additional features! This milestone is a major step toward the full version’s release later this year. Created using the Unreal Engine, Hoverloop offers a peek into a future where all of the world’s sports have been overtaken by drone competitions.
Today’s new update for Hoverloop offers a slew of enhancements and new content including a brand-new combat arena set inside a mine and a new Team Deathmatch mode. The fresh tutorial will help players learn the ropes in their high-speed hover drones while an AI upgrade for computer-controlled opponents will push players to their limits. A bundle of new drone chassis and customization options round out the list of improvements as well as a slew of UI and feedback refinements that will help players stay in control of the remote-controlled chaos.
Note: Hoverloop is only playable locally for now. The online mode will be part of the final game at launch in Fall 2019, along with more new modes.

Hoverloop is a multiplayer arena shooter that features customisable hover drones in high-speed combat. Players take their mechanised combatants into battle for glory across a multitude of maps and game types including modes like deathmatch and wave-based PvE matches. Both the drones’ abilities and appearance can be personalised to their owner’s preferences. Powerful abilities like death rays, invulnerable shields and teleportation let you pick your playstyle.
