Tomato Fantasy Games and publisher 101XP have released the free prologue of Dynopunk on Steam, inviting players to step into a retro cyberpunk world populated by dinosaurs. In this unique adventure, players assume the role of Chris, the last surviving T-Rex on the planet, who runs a tech repair shop. The full game is slated for release on May 25th.
Dynopunk features pixelated graphics reminiscent of classic retro games and an original Lo-fi soundtrack inspired by the 1980s. The game immerses players in a nostalgic, dinosaur-filled adventure where they can interact with a cast of quirky and engaging characters, each with their own unique traits, dreams, and personal stories. The player’s choices throughout the game influence the branching story, which is driven by customer interactions and the quality of the repairs performed in the shop.
In their quest to build a time machine, players must fix gadgets and gather information from customers to determine the cause of each item’s issues. Dynopunk also incorporates a chit-chat system that allows players to engage in casual or heartfelt conversations with customers.
