EA SPORTS PGA TOUR – Update 5.0 Introduces Royal Liverpool in Season 4

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR has released Title Update 5.0, bringing the highly anticipated 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool to Season 4. Players can now experience Royal Liverpool Golf Club in all game modes, with the Open Championship alternating between Royal Liverpool and St Andrews in career mode. The game’s menus, screens, and key art have also received updates in line with the Season 4 Open Championship theme. Additionally, players can look forward to new Challenges that recreate significant moments from the event.

In addition to the seasonal improvements, Title Update 5.0 includes various quality of life updates and stability fixes, enhancing the career and online modes and providing players with more flexibility in curating their gameplay experience. For instance, players can now switch between Quick and Full rounds at the start of each round in career mode, instead of being limited to making the switch only at the start of each tournament.

The online mode has also received an update to improve matchmaking. Players now have a 60-second window after initial matchmaking is completed to join a lobby, allowing for more players to participate and increasing the frequency of 16-player matches.

Furthermore, the online mode will now rotate through new playlists, offering players a variety of themes and a smaller selection of random courses. These playlists will also introduce variations to course conditions and wind settings, making the gameplay more engaging.

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR remains committed to evolving the game based on feedback from the community. The development teams at EA Orlando and EA Madrid are already working on upcoming updates, including the addition of one-round tournaments for career mode and turn-based match play for online and private match modes. These features will be included in the next major patch, and more details will be shared as the release date approaches.
