Red Bull North America and the League of Legends Championship Series will premiere episode 3 of “Metamorphosis” – a League of Legends® content series where top LoL pro players, streamers, and influencers come together to use unorthodox or off-meta team compositions. Players are encouraged to utilize unusual champion roles, and experimentative play styles while the live-stream broadcast captures funny moments, hilarious losses, surprise wins, and new undiscovered strategies for viewers to enjoy.
In Episode 3, viewers will see the cast test all-new off-meta strategies to determine its effectiveness during live play. The different comps that viewers can expect to see include:
- Maximum NimbusHex – The combination of Hexflash and Nimbus Cloak runes allows players to close the gap on executing ganks and engages with a little extra oomph. However, consideration for champions with good synergy with the Sorcery or Inspiration keystones must be chosen to ensure success, which is what the team will explore and demonstrate with this comp!
- Blue ManaMoon – While Manamune has always been strong and even standard on certain champions, it is one of the most interesting and unique League of Legends items as it always seems to pop up and be viable elsewhere due to its raw strength and relatively cheap cost. Because of its ability to change the meta where almost every ADC is trying it out, can the Metamorphosis crew build a composition around champions that work with Manamune and maybe even find some new ones in the process?
- Shipping & Handling – With the ability to hook enemy Champions away from their team as a key mechanic to halt enemy advances, the main premise this the comp is to use a variety of methods to move enemy champions as far away from their team and their safety as possible in order to inflict as much damage as possible. Champions with high abduction potential running as a typical bot lane, or as a jungle / top will be emphasized for the Metamorphosis team’s comps.
“Metamorphosis” invites viewers and participating talent to brainstorm and execute unique gameplay strategies in League of Legends that explore niche team compositions and champion builds, while taking risks and challenging how the game is normally played. The series turns LoL content on its head by combining an uncommon approach with creative play styles. The cast will test theories and prove whether they can be successful in live matches for competitors.
