Independent game developer Ant Workshop is proud(?) to announce their new game, TAPS AFF! The Scottish Summertime Simulator, out now for free on iOS Devices and Android via the Google Play Store. Enjoy endless summertime high-score chasing fun as you get people ready for the hot weather. Help the tiny little computer people in your phone get appropriately attired for the current weather by tapping on them. It really is that simple!
Inspired by this year’s unseasonably sunny weather, a phenomenon rarely seen in Scotland, TAPS AFF! is a celebration of Scotland’s favourite summer activity – exposing pasty white skin to the sun. But don’t get too comfortable! Look out for hazards, changeable Scottish weather and the need for … taps oan!
Featuring the vocal talents of at least 10 real Scotsmen (and women), listen to Authentic Scottish voices and learn new slang (it’s basically educational). D’ye no ken what we’re on about? “Taps aff” is a Scottish expression literally meaning “tops off”, the act of taking off your top because it’s a sunny/hot day.
“Sometimes a joke name for a game comes long before the idea of what it actually is.” Ant Workshop’s Founder Anthony Gowland said “For a long time the phrase “taps aff” had seemed like it was ripe for a mobile game. So here we are.”
TAPS AFF! Is available now on iOS & Android via Google Play Store.
We’re sorry. (Not sorry)
