DANGEN Entertainment and Moonlight Games have shared new gameplay footage of their upcoming dark fantasy action RPG, Hunt the Night. The game is a tribute to classic titles such as The Legend of Zelda and Bloodborne and is set to be released on Steam for PC on April 13, 2023.
The gameplay video offers a glimpse into new enemies, the Hunt the Night overworld, and the Barkley Sanitarium dungeon. In the game, the overworld opens up after players have progressed to a certain point. Players can explore the world of Medhram, battling monsters and searching for loot and clues inside houses. They can also use save points to replenish HP, bullets, and magic, as well as teleport to key locations throughout the world.
The video also showcases the Barkley Sanitarium, one of the first dungeons players must overcome after reaching the overworld. In this dungeon, players must survive terrifying monster encounters and solve puzzles to find a key item leading to the next location. In addition to fast-paced gameplay with multiple long-range and short-range weapons, players must also gather clues and items to proceed both inside dungeons and in the overworld. Some of the puzzles are inspired by Silent Hill, adding a touch of horror to the game.
Hunt the Night is a highly anticipated game that promises to deliver an immersive dark fantasy experience with challenging combat and engaging puzzles. The game pays homage to classic titles while adding its own unique twist to the genre. With the new gameplay footage and screenshots, fans can get a better idea of what to expect from this exciting new release.
