Fandom & eFuse Join Forces in Support of Collegiate Esports

Partnership Connects Brand Advertisers with Esports & Gaming Fans Through New Content & Sponsorship Opportunities.

Fandom, the world’s largest fan platform, and eFuse, the #1 platform for gamers to meet, compete, and be discovered, today announced a multi-faceted partnership to enhance collegiate esports opportunities for esports athletes, teams, and fans. By combining Fandom’s 108 million highly engaged gaming fans across 17 million pages of content within over 100,000 gaming communities with eFuse’s best-in-class tournament production and eRena software infrastructure, this partnership aims to build on the existing collegiate esports framework and provide next-level resources for Gen Z students and gamers through sponsorships and increased awareness of the leagues.

This first-of-its-kind collaboration grants Fandom exclusive advertising sales rights for eFuse’s Collegiate Events: Collegiate CoD League (CCL), College Carball Association (CCA), and upcoming activations for Collegiate Fortnite, with plans for additional titles in the future. By providing brands exclusive sponsorship offerings to meaningfully connect with the collegiate esports community, gamers and fans will have more engaging ways to interact with esports content through custom content, media distribution on Fandom.com, tournament sponsorships, and live events, and scholarships.

“With over 100,000 gaming communities across our wiki platform and access to over 15 million Gen Z fans, Fandom is excited to deepen our commitment to the esports industry and fans worldwide,” says Amy Venier, VP of Gaming & Esports at Fandom. “We’re proud to partner with eFuse to help champion and support collegiate esports specifically and open the doors for authentic partnerships with advertising partners.”

“Over the past two years, we have heavily invested in grassroots collegiate esports because we believe in the opportunities it creates for students to grow competitively and professionally,” says Matthew Benson, CoFounder & CEO at eFuse. “We are excited about this partnership with Fandom because it will increase the scope and quality of options for students to compete, earn professional experiences, grow communities and showcase collegiate esports to even more potential fans!”

This partnership kicks off with the College CoD playoffs and their LAN Championship in May and June 2022 and spans additional collegiate events throughout the year including the College Carball Summer Open and various Fortnite competitions.
