February’s PS Plus Games Are Here

They will load this month with not two, not three, but potentially up to FIVE free PS Plus games! BioShock: The Collection contains three legendary first-person adventures, The Sims 4 gives you creative control over reality itself, and Firewall Zero Hour offers engaging, online multiplayer for PS VR owners. So, whether you want to explore iconic worlds or create your own, Sony may have what you want this month via PlayStation Plus.

Let’s take a deeper look at each game.

BioShock: The Collection

BioShock

In 1960 (at the start of the game), the protagonist, Jack, is a passenger on a plane that goes down in the Atlantic Ocean. As the only survivor, Jack makes his way to a nearby lighthouse that houses a bathysphere terminal that takes him to Rapture. Rapture was planned and constructed in the 1940s by Objectivist business magnate Andrew Ryan, who wanted to create a utopia for society’s elite to flourish outside of government control and “petty morality.” Scientific progress greatly expanded, including the discovery of the genetic material “ADAM” — created by sea slugs on the ocean floor. ADAM allows its users to alter their DNA to grant them superhuman powers like telekinesis and pyrokinesis. To protect Rapture, Ryan imposed a law that no contact with the surface world was allowed. However, 20 years later, Jack stumbles upon the city … and it’s up to you to get out alive while discovering the mysteries surrounding Rapture.

BioShock 2

BioShock 2 opens on New Year’s Eve of 1958, as Subject Delta patrols Rapture with his little sister, Eleanor. Eleanor is separated from Delta by her mother, Sofia Lamb, who uses a mind control plasmid on Delta to make him … Well, you’ll see. Ten years later (eight years after the first game), Delta awakens, revived by Little Sisters under the control of Eleanor. Delta is drawn towards Eleanor by their past Big Daddy-Little Sister connection. Yes, you will be playing as a Big Daddy this time around to save Eleanor from Sofia Lamb. It will be up to you if you want to save her though.

BioShock Infinite

In July 1912, Booker DeWitt is taken by Robert and Rosalind Lutece to an island lighthouse off the coast of Maine. Told to “bring us the girl and wipe away the debt,” Booker enters the lighthouse, which doubles as a rocket silo and transports him to Columbia. Where has this place come from and how long has it been around? All this and more will unravel the mysteries of Columbia as you rescue the mysterious girl known as Elizabeth.

BioShock: The Collection features all three games in this award-winning series – BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite – remastered in 1080 and includes all single-player add-on content.
