The Summoners War IP continues to expand as publisher Com2uS officially reveals the first details of mobile real-time strategy (RTS) game, Summoners War: Lost Centuria. A closed beta test (CBT) for the globally-anticipated game is also coming soon – fans can participate anytime between Saturday, Nov. 21 through Monday, Nov. 30.
Lost Centuria fuses the beloved monsters and lore from Summoners War: Sky Arena with an entirely new gameplay system that pushes players into intense RTS scenarios against their opponents. Armed with a custom deck of cards, competitors enter strategic battles that center on summoning eight monsters each that are worth varying amounts of Mana. Cards have varying costs, but these don’t necessarily portray a Monster’s usefulness in battle. Regardless of Mana cost, all cards can have a tenacious impact when they are used with efficient strategy. It’s up to players to build a balanced deck and decide in the moment how to conquer their opponents.
Furthering Lost Centuria’s quick and strategic action is the Counter Skill system that lets players immediately respond to an opponent’s special skill when activated. Powerful and limited-use Summoner Spells also exist to turn the tide of battle with ground shaking effects meant to dominate the enemy team. These skills can come at any time, so players must maintain focus and poise as they combat their way through PvP and PvE scenarios.
“We’re shaking up the Summoners War universe with Lost Centuria by taking everything our fans love about Sky Arena and combining it with an active battle system that’s sure to create an all new competitive landscape,” said Com2uS CEO James Song. “This has been an incredible year for Summoners War as we consistently take the IP in new and unexpected directions. The demand for more Summoners War is there and we aim to fill it.”
