Launching in association with highly anticipated 4X strategy game Thea 2: The Shattering, Triglav Studio are releasing The Awakening, a tabletop RPG inspired by the same legends, myth and Slavic folklore that brought you the original Thea: The Awakening.
Using Triglav Studio’s expertise in crafting thoughtful and fun tabletop games, The Awakening is a deeply tactile strategy RPG that engages players in a world of Slavic deities shattered by Darkness. Long-time fans of the Thea series will find familiar scenarios and situations developed into this unique tabletop experience.
In The Awakening players must join forces to create characters and use combat, encounter and village development mechanics in order rebuild a collapsed society from the remnants of a destroyed civilization. Only together can players uncover the mysteries of these all-powerful Gods and rebuild the future.
Thea 2: The Shattering is the highly anticipated sequel to Thea: The Awakening and builds on the series’ reputation for being simultaneously a 4X turn strategy, RPG, survival and a card game with an original dark fantasy setting inspired by Slavic myths and culture.
Players will take the role of god who looks after a tribe of followers while navigating a procedurally-generated environment. They will have to choose their favoured play style – whether they prefer to wander and explore the world, take an aggressive stance of a warlord, or becoming the master diplomats with an array of alliances with other factions – and constantly gather resources and ensure the survival of their worshippers.
