Free PS Plus Games For July Announced

We are in the final week of June so you know what that means … new, free PlayStation Plus games are going to replace the ones that were available in June. Taking the place of Sonic Mania and Borderlands The Handsome Collection will be Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 as well as Horizon Chase Turbo. Let’s take a look at both of these games.

PES-2019

Pro Evolution Soccer (or PES for short) 2019 is a single player/multiplayer sports game that simulates football. PES 2019’s Magic Moments feature is set to be the forefront of its gameplay. Konami announced that the International Champions Cup before the season begins has been added, and they also announced an improved negotiation system and budget management. They also added re-sell and clean sheet options to introduce strategy in club management. Additionally, 11 new skill traits have been introduced, including edge turn, no-look pass, control loop, dipping shot, and rising shot. They have also announced that player individuality has been expanded, where skills and strengths are more prominent in impact and motion during gameplay. Full body touch introduced last year has also been enhanced.

In this year’s edition, Konami has promised to increase the number of licenses which include more fully licensed leagues and stadiums as well as a variety of new legends to play with. Until now, the official championships announced directly by Konami are 12 leagues which include the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, Danish Superligaen, the Portuguese Primeira Liga, the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, the Swiss Raiffeisen Super League, the Scottish Premiership, the Dutch Eredivisie, and the Argentine Primera División. However, Konami announced that it did not renew its deal with UEFA for the Champions League, Europa League, and the UEFA Super Cup which they had for 10 years; the license is being used in EA Sports FIFA 19. The game has received a Metacritic score of 79 out of 100 and should be picked up if you are looking for a different soccer game to play that isn’t EA’s FIFA. Give a try and you may be surprised!

HCT

Horizon Chase Turbo is a revamped version of the game called Horizon Chase – World Tour and challenges the player to complete races on tracks located around the world. Additional twists to the racing formula come in the form of fuel pickups, which need to be obtained to complete the race, as well as tokens that unlock new tracks and the use of nitro boosts to speed up the player’s car. The player starts every race at the back of the pack and is required to pass their opponents to win. There are also different weather effects and track types that adjust handling. The game has received a score of 88 out of 100 on Metacritic and while this may have started out as a mobile game originally, Horizon Chase Turbo stands out from its mobile counterpart and is one of the best racing games to come out in the past three years. So, gear up and get ready to race!

These two titles will replace the June PS Plus games on July 2nd, so be sure to pick those up before then and grab the new July games as well. Stay tuned here at GamingLyfe for more.
