Ravenage and Dreamside Interactive have unveiled a major update for Frozen Flame, their fantasy action RPG game set in the ancient world of Arcana. The update, available starting April 20th, introduces the much-anticipated Survival Mode known as “Cataclysm.” This new game mode expands the Frozen Flame universe and offers players an exciting new chapter to explore.
Cataclysm mode takes place following the events of the story mode, presenting players with a completely new and visually stunning landscape. The terrain is marked by water and floating islands, challenging players to navigate their way through this perilous environment. In order to increase their chances of survival, players must choose one of three Orders and venture into the Frozen Desert, a separate, always cold snow realm shrouded in blizzards that limit visibility.
In the struggle for supremacy, players will encounter dangerous monsters that drop essential resources for acquiring new upgrades. The Frozen Desert is a treacherous zone where building and flying are prohibited, forcing players to rely on one another to increase their chances of survival. The ultimate goal is to escape the realm and halt the Cataclysm by defeating the Dragon, the mastermind behind the destruction.
The Cataclysm Mode update also provides access to official servers, where up to 30 players can join forces. Additionally, the update introduces a brand new map and new ways for players to interact, such as trading or engaging in combat.
Frozen Flame enthusiasts can also look forward to combat improvements that enhance balance and responsiveness, as well as new features like the ability to fertilize seed beds and accelerate while flying. These updates and more serve to enrich the overall gameplay experience in the world of Frozen Flame.
