The Game Development World Championship (GDWC) and Xsolla have come together to introduce a new award for the GDWC 2022: The Xsolla Game of the Year Award. This award is open for all commercial games and the winner will go home with a cash prize of $5000 US Dollars. Winners will be announced at the GDWC 2022 Awards in Spring 2023.
Xsolla is an international video game trading company with a robust and powerful set of tools and services designed specifically for the gaming industry. As GDWC partners, they provide prizes for participants to find the right business partner and funding or business solutions for the success of their game.
The Xsolla Game of the Year Award is open to all new and existing GDWC 2022 participants. Whether you’re a professional, hobbyist, or student, and whether your game is for PC, consoles, or mobile devices, if it has a commercial aspect, you’re welcome to join. GDWC 2022 participation is free and the enrollment period lasts until the end of February 2023.
Developers already enrolled in the GDWC 2022 are encouraged to update their submissions to compete for this new award. Any developers with a game coming out this year or a game currently in development, but not yet participating in the championship, are invited to join.
