GAMELANCER LAUNCHES NEW PLATFORM FOR GAMERS TO EARN AND PLAY

Today, Gamelancer launches a new platform that empowers gamers to earn revenue as freelancers for hire. Available on desktop and mobile, the platform uses patent-pending technology to allow gamers worldwide to make money connecting, playing with and elevating the gaming experience for others. The company was founded by Razvan Romanescu and Darren Lopes, leading entrepreneurs known for building successful startups within tech, fashion and entertainment industries.

As a “gamelancer,” users will be able to have full control of who they play with and when. Others on the platform will be able to pay-to-play and connect with their favorite gamers or players at various skill levels. Users can browse gamelancers based on their needs for most games and book them for a session to build the perfect team. Gamelancers in turn can set their own prices and schedules on the platform. Features include customizable fee setting for freelancers, the ability to set gaming schedules and other additional options including charitable donations.

Gamelancer launches with successful seed funding by top venture capitalist firm, Mayfair Global Ventures Corporation. Funding will further support Gamelancer product development, expanding its app offerings to create the best user experience for gamers. Operating in stealth mode, Gamelancer has experienced explosive growth to its community of gamers and fans, garnering more than 6M combined followers across its TikTok channels. Gamelancer plans to populate and connect with its TikTok audiences to drive more players to its platform.

John Monopoly, known for representing musical artists like Kanye West and Missy Elliott, joins the Gamelancer team as Head of Talent where he will use his expertise in entertainment management to bring influential and highly skilled talent to the platform. Additionally, Gamelancer has attracted top talent including Nick Nelson, formerly of Netflix as Head of Product, and John Gauthier of Uber joining as Head of Growth. This powerhouse team joins Romanescu and Lopes to drive Gamelancers mission of creating a new earning opportunity for gamers and a non-traditional way to connect with different players.

“Gamelancer represents a new job opportunity for gamers to lend their skills and earn revenue while doing what they love,” said Razvan Romanescu, Co-Founder and CEO of Gamelancer. “It’s not a secret that gaming is a fast-growing industry, and we believe it’s important for gamers to have real choices and feel less pressure to be constantly online to earn revenue. As a gamer myself, I wanted to create a solution for the community to learn from each other regardless of skill level. We’re excited to see the reactions from users and hope they are able to enjoy meaningful connections through this launch.”

“We are really proud of Gamelancer’s ability to give all users tools for success, and hope that it will be a welcomed change to the way gamers earn and play with each other,” said Darren Lopes, Co-founder and COO of Gamelancer. “This is an untapped avenue for the gaming industry and we look forward to working with strategic partners and investors who understand this next generation of gamers.”

Gamelancer is available for iOS, Android and Desktop (MacOS and PC) and is compatible with all major gaming systems including PS4, XBOX and Nintendo, as well as streaming platforms, Youtube and Twitch.
