GamesAid Welcomes Two New Trustees To Its Board

UK games industry charity GamesAid is pleased to welcome two new trustees to its board, Head & Design Manager Josh Heaton and Executive Producer Susan Cummings to support us through 2019 and beyond.

Josh Heaton is Head of and Design Manager for Gamer Creative, Gamer Network’s in-house creative agency who has helped thousands of developers and publishers with their design work around the industry for marketing, advertising and more. He has continued to work on many design for many portfolio of sites including Eurogamer, VG247, Rock Paper Shotgun and more, since joining Gamer Network in 2010.

Josh Heaton said, “GamesAid is an iconic and selfless asset within our amazing industry. As a trustee, ensuring charities across the UK receive as many funds possible is my top priority.”

Our second addition is Executive Producer and co-founder of Tiny Rebel Games, Susan Cummings. With 20 years of experience in game development and publishing, she and her partner have conceived, co-developed and published two award-winning Doctor Who games, worked with brands on properties like Doctor Who, Star Trek, War of the Worlds and Ghostbusters and collaborated with mobile, PC and console companies across game design, production, social media and publishing. Susan was also one of the main founders of 2K Games who built their product portfolio and the foundations of 2K Sports.

Susan Cummings said, “I’m incredibly proud to be coming on board as a trustee for GamesAid. The games industry is full of compassionate people who want to make a difference in the world and it’s great that we have a charity that can help facilitate that desire. I truly hope that I can help expand the effort.”

GamesAid is excited to move forward with as Josh and Susan as their newest trustee members.

GamesAid is a UK based video games charity (Registered UK Charity #1081706) which acts as an umbrella to support a number of smaller charities who help disadvantaged and disabled children and young people. It is a non-trading body, administered by Trustees who operate on a fixed term basis run by a chair who is also appointed on a fixed term. As the only fully democratic charity in the games space, members of the games industry propose and vote for the charities of their choice annually.
