Gen.G esports Launches ‘Gen.G Streamer Team’ and Announces Sponsorship Agreement with DESKER

Global esports organization, Gen.G, today announced the formation of a new dedicated ‘Streamer Team’ and a new sponsorship agreement with DESKER, Fursys Group’s furniture brand for designers and start-ups, who will sponsor the team for 2019.

The Streamer Team features ex-Gen.G players, Yoonroot and Miro, who will focus on broadcasting engaging livestream gaming content to fans around the world. This is part of Gen.G’s commitment to nurture its players, helping them develop a sustainable professional gaming career beyond competitive esports.

In addition to supplying the highest quality motion desks throughout Gen.G’s recently unveiled Seoul HQ (watch here), DESKER also showcased its collaborative space with Gen.G at the B2C showroom on the first floor of its first offline space ‘DESKER Signature Store’, which recently opened in Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil. Here, DESKER set up its merchandise shop and IT zone, which handle a variety of products that complement DESKER, along with a showroom displaying diverse office furniture that can create an optimized work environment.

“Gen.G has been incredibly supportive and I’m glad to have the opportunity to continue my professional gaming career as a member of the Gen.G Streamer Team.” Said YoonRoot.

Miro, also stated, “A desk is an incredibly important piece of gaming equipment for live streaming, so I’m really happy that DESKER has partnered with Gen.G to supply our team with the highest quality desks.”

Live streaming also presents an alternate platform for the Gen.G organization and its partners, such as DESKER, to engage with fans outside of the competitive esports arena.

“We are excited to announce our new Streamer Team and a sponsorship agreement with DESKER” said Edward Choi, Marketing Director, Gen.G esports. “There will be a lot of opportunities for us to collaborate on customized DESKER marketing activities in 2019 as we continue to build strong engagement with our fan community.”

“It feels great to create this collaborative space with start-ups less than 3 years since DESKER launched with the purpose of creating a furniture brand appropriate for small-size offices”, stated Sung-moon Kang, the CEO of Iloom DESKER. “We will provide new inspiration to DESKER customers and Gen.G fans through various marketing activities with Gen.G in 2019.”

DESKER will join Gen.G’s wider lineup of partners, which includes gaming hardware manufacturer Razer, chair manufacturer SIDIZ, computer networking company NETGEAR, and accounting firm Mirae Asset Venture Investment.
