Arc System Works America, Inc. today announced the new launch of Season Pass 2 ($24.99) for the acclaimed 2.5D fighting game, Guilty Gear -Strive-, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam. To kick off today’s release of the widely-acclaimed game’s second season, series veteran Bridget has been introduced as the newest DLC playable character for fans, alongside a price drop for the Guilty Gear -Strive- digital Standard Edition (now at $39.99) and introduction of new digital bundle editions.
In addition, Arc System Works is incredibly proud to confirm that Guilty Gear -Strive- has surpassed 1 million units shipped worldwide (in packaged form and download), making it the first title sold by Arc System Works and the first in the GUILTY GEAR series to reach this huge milestone. To commemorate the one-millionth unit sold, a special illustration newly drawn by Kenta Asano, a 2D artist from the Guilty Gear team, will be released!
Guilty Gear -Strive- Season 2 follows the game’s immensely successful initial launch and Season 1. The new season will contain a rollout of 4 additional playable characters beginning with today’s DLC character release of the free-form tricky spinner, Bridget, as well as 2 new battle stages and the second color pack.
Bridget arrives as the sixth playable character to the Guilty Gear -Strive- roster, giving players an easy to pick up, standard style of character that boasts both long-range attacks and excellent movement, including tricky options using Bridget’s yo-yo. The Bridget DLC is immediately available to all players who purchase the full Season Pass 2 ($24.99), or can be purchased individually at $6.99. Fans can also check out an original music video for Sol Badguy’s theme “Find Your One Way”, featuring all-new animation by Sanzigen Inc., in commemoration of the 1-year anniversary of Guilty Gear -Strive-. The music video shows the world of Guilty Gear over its more than 20 years as a series, and the life of the protagonist Sol Badguy condensed into about 2 minutes.
Also starting this week, the digital version of Guilty Gear -Strive- Standard Edition will be available at a new, lower price of $39.99. Fans can also take advantage of new digital bundle editions, including the Guilty Gear -Strive- + Season Pass 1 bundle ($59.99) and the all-inclusive Guilty Gear -Strive- Ultimate Edition 2022 ($79.99), which consists of the base game, Season Pass 1, Season Pass 2, and an Ultimate Edition Contents Kit with digital sound + art works and exclusive color.
