In 2017, the Hearthstone Championship Tour has taken us to some exciting locations. From the picturesque beaches of the Bahamas (HCT Winter Championship), to the hustle and bustle of Shanghai (HCT Spring Championship), to this weekend’s adventures in the brand-new Blizzard Arena (HCT Summer Championship) situated in the historic Burbank Studios.
We’re thrilled to announce that the final stop—the HCT World Championship—will take us to the Beurs van Berlage Conference Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Once home to the Dutch stock exchange and the backdrop of many royal marriages, this historic landmark will host the HCT World Championship from January 18–21, 2018.
Eight players have already qualified through the HCT Winter and Spring Championships, and four more spots are up for grabs at this weekend’s HCT Summer Championship. The last four places will go to the highest point earners from each Hearthstone competitive region who are not already qualified for the World Championship. Not only will they vie for the title of world champion in Amsterdam, they’ll also be gunning for the lion’s share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool.
