HYTE, the renowned PC components, peripherals, and lifestyle brand of iBUYPOWER, has recently made an exciting announcement in the world of PC cooling technology. Unveiling its first all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler, the THICC Q60, HYTE aims to redefine industry standards and provide users with unparalleled performance and customization options. Featuring a groundbreaking 5″ ultra-slim IPS display, a powerful cooling system, and innovative design elements, the THICC Q60 is set to revolutionize the digital experience for PC enthusiasts worldwide.
A Game-Changer: The THICC Q60 Liquid Cooler
Standing out among its competitors, the THICC Q60 boasts a prominent 5″ ultra-slim IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280. This large LCD panel is mounted over the water block of the liquid cooler and offers users a unique visual experience. Behind the LCD screen’s back cover, a 42-pixel qRGB array diffuses light through a frosted surface, providing ambient lighting that can be customized using HYTE’s Nexus software. This personal touch enhances the aesthetics of the liquid cooler and adds a dash of individuality to any PC build.
Rob Teller, Product Director of HYTE, highlighted the need for high-performance cooling solutions due to the growing competitiveness among processor manufacturers. Teller states, “The THICC Q60 unleashes your processor, boosting your performance to previously unthinkable levels.” To achieve this, HYTE has equipped the Q60 with a trio of Dual Harmonic Pumps, a 52mm-Thick Heat Exchanger, and a pair of 32mm-Thick FT12 fans, creating a cooling density that is both potent and efficient while maintaining exceptional quietness.
The THICC Q60’s heat exchanger, measuring 120 x 288 x 52 mm, is one of the thickest AIOs available, specifically targeting the highest performance-to-noise ratio. Dual harmonic pumps housed within the heat exchanger deliver sufficient power to propel the coolant through the Q60, ensuring optimal system performance.
Innovative Design and Enhanced Functionality
HYTE has implemented smart design choices to provide users with a seamless experience. The THICC Q60 is powered by a single cable attached to the heat exchanger, eliminating the need for additional cable management. This streamlined design simplifies installation and enhances overall aesthetics.
The THICC Q60 is complemented by the THICC FT12 fans, which measure 120 x 120 x 32 mm. These fans utilize liquid crystal polymer (LCP) blades, ensuring a more rigid design for increased tolerance and superior performance. Each FT12 fan also features a built-in thermal sensor, monitoring air temperature and fan orientation and reporting the information back to the Nexus software.
The FT12 fans offer a speed range of 500 to 2,000 RPMs, allowing users to customize the cooling performance according to their needs. Moreover, these fans incorporate a zero RPM capability, ensuring complete silence when required. HYTE’s FT12 Fans come in packs of three and are bundled with a Nexus Link Type-M to Nexus Link Type-C cable for compatibility with additional Nexus-controlled devices, such as the NP50 Nexus Portal and PQ10 and PQ30 qRGB Light Strips. Additionally, a PWM to Nexus Link Type-M cable is included for compatibility with motherboard fan control.
Availability and Pricing
Both the THICC Q60 liquid cooler and THICC FT12 fans will be showcased in the HYTE/iBUYPOWER suite during Computex 2023. These cutting-edge cooling solutions are expected to be available globally starting from September 2023. The THICC Q60 will have a starting MSRP of $299.99 USD, while the THICC FT12 fans will have a starting MSRP of $79.99 USD. These prices make the THICC Q60 and FT12 fans competitive options for PC enthusiasts seeking high-performance cooling solutions.
