Ikenfell Soundtrack by aivi & surasshu Now Available

Materia Collective is pleased to present the Ikenfell Original Game Soundtrack by aivi & surasshu. The duo–best known for their work on Steven Universe–has created a beautiful RPG score in their signature “digital fusion” style that draws from their experience working on animation, creating a memorable experience for players and listeners alike. The massive 75-track album includes “Paint the Future” featuring the vocal stylings of rapper Sammus, “It’s Showtime!,” featuring Touhou singer Renko and exploring admiration and jealousy of one’s rival, and “Petals in the Wind,” the beautiful and melodic overworld theme. Several guest contributors are featured throughout the score including six tracks by composer Sabrielle Augustin, vocals by Adriana Figueroa and Rekcahdam, guitars by Stemage, strings by Michaela Nachtigall, and many more. The Ikenfell Original Game Soundtrack is available today.

“We wanted to bring some of our experience composing music for Steven Universe to Ikenfell,” comment aivi & surasshu. “We tried to express each characters’ feelings through the music, and we collaborated with vocalists for many of the character themes. At the heart of things, both of us share a deep love for game music. The music from The Legend of Zelda is a big influence for us–Ikenfell’s music was inspired by the piano melodies of Breath of the Wild and the dreamy, eccentric chiptunes of Link’s Awakening!”

In Ikenfell, players will enjoy a turn-based tactical RPG about a group of troublesome magic students. It sports a heartwarming and twist-filled story about friendship, trust, love and loss. Other features include party management with 6 characters each with their own unique powers and strengths, 48 unique spells, over 100 enemies to battle, 22 challenging bosses, and lots of cats.
