In an unexpected collaboration, WWE Superstar, 16-time World Champion, Hollywood icon, and record-setting philanthropist John Cena is joining PGA TOUR 2K23 as a playable golfer on April 7th. Decked out in his signature red, white, and blue attire, Cena will take on the challenge of facing top PGA TOUR players on some of the most demanding courses.
John Cena, the WWE 2K23 cover star, joins the ranks of Michael Jordan and Steph Curry as one of the few personalities featured in multiple 2K franchises. In PGA TOUR 2K23, Cena will compete against the greatest golfers, including Tiger Woods, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Tony Finau, Lexi Thompson, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, and more. Bleacher Report has praised the game as “the best-playing golf game in years” and “a downright blast.”
Cena brings his long-driving power to the tee box, but it remains to be seen how he will fare on the fairways and greens, where precision and skill are more critical than strength. Players can step into Cena’s shoes to challenge friends locally or online with Crossplay support. Additional new content, such as playable pro Nelly Korda, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Pinehurst No. 2, Eastside Golf gear, Barstool Sports Fore Play Podcast playable golfers, and more, will be available soon.
PGA TOUR 2K23 will be free to play on Xbox platforms from 9:00 a.m. PST Thursday, April 6th, through 11:00 a.m. PST Sunday, April 9th, and on Steam from 10:00 a.m. PST Thursday, April 6th, through 10:00 a.m. PST Monday, April 10th. Additionally, the game will be available at discounted prices for Standard Edition, Tiger Woods Edition, and Digital Deluxe Bundle for both PS4 & PS5, as well as the Deluxe Edition for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S during the promotion period.
