Casey Donnellan Games, in collaboration with publisher tinyBuild, has released Kill It With Fire VR, a first-person spider-hunting simulation, for Meta Quest 2 and SteamVR platforms. PlayStation VR 1 & 2 are set to join the fray later in 2023. Steam users who already own the original game will receive a permanent 25% discount on the VR version.
Kill It With Fire VR places players in the role of a licensed exterminator tasked with eradicating arachnids. Players must use any available means, from common household items to military-grade weaponry, to eliminate eight different spider species. The VRachnid gloves and a handy tracker assist in locating the spiders, while environmental puzzles require a combination of intelligence and firepower to solve.
The game features a procedurally generated world, ensuring that each spider encounter is unique. Players can explore a range of familiar locations, such as kitchens, offices, and gas stations, as they hunt down the spiders. Completing special challenge missions unlocks a new secret ending, and the Arachno-Gauntlet provides a test of spider-slaying prowess.
Kill It With Fire VR is available on Meta Quest 2 and SteamVR for $14.99/€14.99, with support for multiple languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Dutch, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.
