Kingdom Hearts is a massive game that has been around since 2002 when it was first released on the PlayStation 2 console. Square Enix thought it would be a great idea to create a game mashing the Disney universe into their top Role Playing Game franchise, Final Fantasy. What a fantastic way to combine two, huge yet differing fan bases into a gigantic one.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is the latest release as well as the epic conclusion to the story of Sora, a beloved protagonist in the series. Kingdom Hearts features more of the recent Disney and Pixar animated films while the previous Kingdom Hearts titles included the classic Disney movies like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, and many more. Unfortunately, Kingdom Hearts 3 was not able to lock in all of the original actors to reprise the characters we’ve all come to love and know, which is why I created a list to help shed some light on who came back and who was not able to. Below is the list of characters, the original actor name, and the actor who ended up playing the character in Kingdom Hearts 3.
In a recent announcement, Tetsuya Nomura (the director and creator of Kingdom Hearts) says that there will be Downloadable Content expanding the story. There may be a chance for more Disney characters to either return or make a new appearance. If that does happen, be sure to check out a definitive and updated list!
