KUJU ENTERTAINMENT STRENGTHENS POSITION WITH NEW SERVICES AND PRODUCT FOCUS FOR 2017

Under new Studio Head Brynley Gibson, one of the UK’s longest-standing developers ramps up ‘work for hire’ division, adds VR & AR services

LONDON, UK, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kuju Ltd. has revealed a new focus for 2017 and beyond, following the arrival of new management, a restructuring of the business within its parent group and the start of several VR projects.

Headed up by Brynley Gibson, who joined the company from SIEE London Studio last year, Kuju is underlining its position as one of the UK’s leading ‘work for hire’ development companies.

Kuju has worked for many of the biggest names in games publishing throughout its history. Kuju’s Brighton-based Zoë Mode studio has recently begun working with a major US-based music game franchise, providing live services. In addition, Kuju’s London team is working on an unannounced VR music experience for Playstation VR.

Furthermore, Kuju’s traditional ‘work for hire’ services have been expanded and a new model introduced, inspired by the movie industry.

“In short, we are refocusing Kuju as ‘the work for hire developer’ – a one stop shop for solving development issues for others, whatever they may be,” said Gibson. “Where we have found great success has been using our broad skillset to pick up a wide range of work, helping others achieve their goals. Where publishers and developers alike come to us with a need, we can fulfil that in an efficient and competitive manner.”

Kuju’s Work for Hire development support services include:-

·      Maintaining game services, product extension & DLC production
·      Supplementary mini development teams to help complete titles and features for developers and publishers
·      Ports & conversions to current generation hardware

In terms of AR and VR, Kuju is extending its extending beyond the traditional games industry to help brands and enterprises create immersive experiences. The company has already delivered products using Samsung’s Gear VR and for Google Cardboard.

In addition, Kuju’s expertise in traditional game experiences is being offered to the increasing number of brands and licensors looking to move into the interactive entertainment space.
