Liberated, an action-adventure game about revolution in a cyberpunk world, won the Audience Selection Runner Up Best of The MIX Award.
Liberated was among the games selected for streaming by the organizers of The MIX Live Showcase, a global event originating in San Francisco and created to promote the most promising independent titles.
„Best of the MIX Audience Selection means a lot to us as a trophy because it reaffirms the universal appeal of Liberated. We’re happy to see that our unique Playable Graphic Novel formula, noir art style and overall presentation stand out and are getting noticed. We hope to help breathe new life into comics, and make them step out from Marvel & DC movies’ shadow,” said Piotr Gnyp from Walkabout Games, the publisher of Liberated.
The demo, which Walkabout Games just presented in Steam’s Spring Game Festival, was a hit and resonated with players from countries like China, Brazil, USA and Poland.
Recently Liberated was featured in Indies Uncovered EGX Rezzed 2020, a Rock Paper Shotgun series to promote the best independent games, and named one of the best indies present at PAX East 2020 by Game Rant.
Liberated is an action-adventure that unfolds across the pages of a comic book. It seamlessly merges the art of graphic novels with interactivity and side-scrolling action. Set in a plausible future where technology empowers control over the people, this is not a simple tale of good versus evil. You must witness what transpires from many perspectives to parse the truth.
Liberated is coming to Nintendo Switch in Q2 2020, with the PC version to follow soon after.
