Feral Interactive today announced that Life is Strange®: Before the Storm™, a highly successful, award-winning narrative adventure game, will be released for macOS and Linux on 13th September 2018. Originally developed by Deck Nine and published by Square Enix on console and Windows PC, Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a standalone story set three years before 2015’s BAFTA Award-winning Life Is Strange.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm follows the unlikely friendship between Chloe Price, a rebellious sixteen-year-old, and Rachel Amber, a popular student destined for success. When Rachel discovers a family secret that threatens to destroy her world, her newfound friendship with Chloe gives her strength. No longer alone, Chloe and Rachel must confront each other’s demons and find a way to overcome them.
As Chloe, players’ choices will shape a branching story with multiple endings influenced by their decisions. Take control of confrontations with Backtalk, a risk and reward-based conversation system in which Chloe uses her barbed tongue to provoke or get her way. Express Chloe’s defiant personality by tagging the world with witty art, and picking her style of clothing, to which other characters react.
The game features a licensed indie soundtrack, and an original score by Daughter.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm consists of three episodes, all of which are contained in a single bundle. The game will also be available as Life is Strange: Before the Storm – Deluxe Edition, which comprises all three episodes along with all available additional content, including the bonus episode “Farewell”.
