“Mario Kart” is Coming to Mobile Devices (Beta Incoming)

The biggest Kart-racing game series of pretty much all time is coming to mobile devices. Mario Kart Tour is the upcoming Nintendo release that will be playable on phones. Nintendo has released titles on the mobile platform since 2016 — such games include Miitomo, Super Mario Run, and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.

The Mario Kart Tour beta is available for Android devices. Unfortunately, there’s no word if iOS will be gaining access to it. The application required to be part of the beta is still currently open … which started on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 and will end on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. To sign up for the beta, you must go to the official website (https://mariokarttour.com/en-US) and find a QR code.

“The closed beta test is a test of an application under development and is held for customers in order to improve the quality of the game. Furthermore, the number of customers who may participate in this test is limited. If the number of applications exceeds the number of possible participants, we will randomly select the participants.”

The beta version will be available in Japan and USA, and is scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 and end on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Nintendo has noted that the dates may change prior to notice.

Mario Kart Tour is the next game developed by DeNA and released by Nintendo, and is slated for official release sometime in Summer 2019 on both Android and iOS devices. Mario Kart Tour was originally supposed to be released in March, however, there were delays which pushed it back to the Summer. Nintendo is also planning to release Dr. Mario World on Android and iOS devices later in 2019.
