Developer Fluxscopic and publisher tinyBuild have released Mayhem in Single Valley, a fast-paced puzzle-loaded action-adventure game, on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch today.
In Mayhem in Single Valley, players take on the role of Jack, who has just been accepted into his dream art school. However, he must put his plans on hold when a disastrous traffic accident causes a semi-truck to spill hazardous chemicals into the water supply, transforming the townspeople and surrounding wildlife into radioactive zombies. Jack must find a way to save the Single Valley community and prevent the apocalypse from spreading worldwide.
Players must contain the infection by exploring the small city and nearby wilderness for answers. They’ll search for clues, locate equipment to help combat the newly turned inhabitants, and evade mutated monstrosities such as sinister squirrels, ferocious felines, and brutal bears. Different tactics can be employed to navigate through the mindless masses, like throwing carrots to distract brain-dead bunnies or shooting nuts and bolts from slingshots to stun enemies.
Mayhem in Single Valley features pixelated environments populated with 2D character models in a 3D world, providing a better sense of depth and atmosphere. The game also includes 8-bit sound effects and an original soundtrack reminiscent of classic gaming, offering players a nostalgic experience.
Mayhem in Single Valley is now available on PlayStation 5|4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One for $14.99 USD, as well as on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GoG.
