Independent developer Snowpeak Studio has announced today that their upcoming team-based melee combat multiplayer game Blood Ancestors, is heading into open alpha today on Steam. Players can access the game on Steam today and compete with their friends in blood-soaked maps filled with swords, shields, and magic.
Blood Ancestors is a team-based multiplayer game that pits players in objective-based gameplay that focuses on medieval fantasy combat. Players can choose from 18 different characters, each with their own unique playstyles.
Character customization doesn’t end there! Blood Ancestors gives players the ability to choose their own build for each character focusing on three styles: offensive, defensive, and utility. Players will also choose from a pool of over 150 skills to really refine their chosen playstyle and make each character a unique playable experience.
“We have always enjoyed first person team focused multiplayer, games like Team Fortress, Overwatch, Chivalry, among others have been inspirations to our small studio and we wanted to create something that was different but feels familiar at the same time,” Said David Broto, co-founder of Snowpeak studio.
Blood Ancestors will be coming to Steam early access in mid-August. Players can download the open alpha on Steam beginning at 2:30 pm EST, 11:30 am PST, 7:30 pm GMT.
