In the year 2150, humanity has mastered interstellar travel and looks to the stars for new worlds to inhabit. However, colonizing a hostile planet isn’t cheap, so these explorers turned to corporations to fund their expeditions. This turned out to be a lucrative endeavor for those willing to take a small risk.
Zero Sum Future is about turning a fledgling colony into an economic engine that can withstand anything. You land your colony vessel on a planet and start with constructing buildings that will produce what you need to survive. Developdifferent industries, supply colonists with goods… and use dirty tactics in a frantic bid to be the last colony standing.
You deceive your opponents by using a wide variety of Illegal Buildings. Take over buildings, monopolize planet’s consumers, brainwash colonists, or steal shipments of goods. These are just a few of your options to disrupting enemy’s operations. But watch out, because your opponent can investigate your illegal activity!
Zero Sum Future is being developed by a small indie team Plungerhorse Studios. They decided to start with Early Access to find out how the community and RTS fans will react to their vision and ideas. Now, closer to the release, game changed a lot in terms of UI and other important elements.
