Microids and Sloclap Ink Deal to Co-Publishing Retail Versions of Sifu

The Parisian video game development studio Sloclap and the French publisher Microids are delighted to announce today the signing of an international co-publishing agreement regarding the retail versions of the upcoming game Sifu. Following their multiplayer hit Absolver released in 2017, Sloclap’s second game Sifu will be an artful and true-to-combat Kung Fu game exploring themes of revenge and redemption! The retail versions on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 will be produced by Microids and are due to come out in Spring 2022.

“We’ve received numerous requests for a retail version of Sifu and we’re delighted to meet players’ expectations in Spring 2022 thanks to this partnership with Microids.” declares Pierre de Margerie, Sloclap Co-founder & CEO.

“We are thrilled by this new partnership!”, adds Alain Milly, Editorial Director for Microids. “We are very proud to collaborate with such a renowned studio on a title filled with explosive gameplay and magnificent art direction. We are eager to show the beautiful retail editions to the fans!”

Featuring the gripping intensity of classic Kung Fu films with realistic and raw combat, Sifu tells the story of a young Kung Fu student who has spent their life training for a day of reckoning after the brutal murder of their entire family by a mysterious assassination squad.
