Midnight Ghost Hunt’s First Update Adds Doll Factory Map

Update 1 includes a creepy new Doll Factory map jam-packed with a bevy of spooky new actionable props to possess, as well as a rework of melee weapons and matchmaking improvements, new skins, emotes, and more.

The 4v4 hide-and-seek phenomenon opens the doors to an abandoned Doll Factory, complete with haunting new props, cosmetics, matchmaking balances, and improved quality of life changes

Vaulted Sky Games and Coffee Stain, publisher of Valheim, Deep Rock Galactic, and Satisfactory, are pleased to announce that Midnight Ghost Hunt’s first update will launch tomorrow! Following its Steam Early Access Launch on March 31st, 2022 Update 1 invites players to roam the grounds of a dilapidated Doll Factory, furnished with spooky new features and possessable props.

Hunters and ghosts can now face off in a brand new environment, which comes with lashings of opportunities to devise new tactics and strategies to best each other in the ultimate prop hunt. Dotted around the map for ghosts to bewitch are a slew of never-before-seen Hero Props, including viciously speedy ‘murder dolls’ equipped with knives and unsettling sound effects, as well as deadly forklifts to launch your opponents into the air and soda machines that spit out cans in rapid fire.

Players can hide on the conveyor belt to travel to the other side of the factory unnoticed, smash down on hunters by taking control of warehouse gates or even lure them under the ever-sounding industrial hammer to squish them to smithereens.

Both matchmaking and game balancing have received adjustments to ensure fairer matches and more even match outcomes, and will continue to do so throughout Early Access. Additionally, melee weapons have been reworked to deal extra damage. Inflict chain lightning damage with the updated Ghostsmasher, with added buckler shield, and charge up the Sledgehammer to pummel ghosts into another plane of existence.

New skins are available too with the chance to play as the iconic Pioneer from Coffee Stain’s otherworldly factory builder, Satisfactory, with stylish versions for both Ghosts and Hunters. A creepy new Clown Dance emote is also launching with the update for players to enjoy.

The Early Backer Pack, available on Steam for fans to show additional support for Midnight Ghost Hunt has now also been populated with both promised and new ghoulish goodies. Early backers now have access to unique skins in Rookie, Veteran, Lady, and Lord, as well as two previously unannounced emotes in the Gentleman, and Lady to thank them for their patience.

Midnight Ghost Hunt is available on Steam Early Access for $19.99 at full price, but aspiring ghosts and hunters can join the hunt at a 20% discount from May 19th to May 23rd.
