The X-Men’s ‘Merc with a Mouth’ drops three new products for April Pool’s Day.
Mondo, in consultation with the fictional Marvel Comics character Wade “Deadpool” Wilson, is pleased to announce three exciting new products set to debut (for real!) today as an April Pool’s Day surprise.
“When a mutant mercenary approaches his third decade, he begins thinking about where he’s been, who he’s stabbed, and what he’s got left to do,” says Deadpool. “And I realized that I couldn’t live another day without more likenesses in my own image.”
Unmatched: Deadpool
Last year, Mondo and Restoration Games announced an entire Marvel line for Unmatched, the head-to-head miniatures skirmish game system for two to four players. When Deadpool learned of the plans, he decided to be the first hero out of the gate.
“Gosh, I’m quite proud of the collaboration that led to this set. All it took was me borrowing Baldie’s Blackbird, scooting down to Austin, and swimming around in a tub of queso for inspiration,” says Deadpool. “Then I gently persuaded those nerds at Mondo and Restoration to release this bad boy – created by Deadpools for Deadpools.”
Unmatched: Deadpool contains a sculpted hero miniature, health dial, and 31 cards. The expansion can be used with any full set in the Unmatched system; which announced four upcoming sets featuring Marvel heroes earlier this year.
“Gamers want a hero. A real winner. A mercenary with the brains, the brawn, and the booty to back it all up,” says Deadpool. “That’s where I come in.”

Deadpool Poster by Justin Harder
The April Pool’s Day drops continue with the 11 am Central drop of the brand-new DEADPOOL poster by artist Justin Harder from Claus Studios, the artist behind the end credits illustrations of 2016’s DEADPOOL.
“When I learned that the Mondo posters team was interested in making a Deadpool poster, I rang my old pal Justin Harder from Claus Studios,” says Deadpool. “I said ‘draw me like one of your French girls’, and he really delivered. I look forward to seeing this poster taped up over the beds of an entire generation.”

Headpool Enamel Pin
Finally, Deadpool’s hilarious Marvel Zombies alternate universe doppelganger “Headpool” is the subject of the latest in a long line of Mondo enamel pins featuring Marvel Comics characters.
“Finally, a badge for anyone who really wants to shout ‘I love disembodied heads and I refuse to be silent!’” says Deadpool. “But if they have to be silent about loving disembodied heads, this is the next best thing.”
